Research and document the company's accounting positions on complex or non-routine transactions (e.g., revenue recognition, equity transactions, debt/equity financing arrangements, consolidation)
Draft clear, well-supported technical accounting memos and position papers for management and external auditors
Monitor emerging accounting standards (FASB updates, ASUs) and assess their impact on the company; lead implementation efforts for new standards
Partner with FP&A, Legal, Treasury, Accounting, and business teams to evaluate the accounting implications of new deals, contracts, and business initiatives
Support the month-end and quarter-end close process for areas involving technical accounting judgment
Assist the senior accountant & accountant with preparation of the monthly cash flow statement and debt covenant reporting

Prepare annual impairment analyses on goodwill, intangible assets, ROU assets, and internal-use capitalized software

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) and/or technical accounting experience in industry
Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), equity (ASC 480, ASC 815), and debt (ASC 470, ASC 815, ASC 825)
Excellent research, analytical, and written communication skills; ability to translate complex accounting guidance into clear, practical recommendations
Experience preparing technical memos and supporting audit requests
Comfortable working cross-functionally and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with disclosure/reporting tools
CPA license
Experience in a pre-IPO company environment
Experience in health insurance environment
Exposure to internal controls / SOX readiness
Experience with Claude
Proficiency with Netsuite accounting software
