Role Overview
Lead AI Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML solutions for banking operations and customer experience.
The role focuses on Generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and Agentic AI frameworks within the IT Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI/ML models using LLMs, SLMs, RAG pipelines, and Agentic AI frameworks.
- Develop workflows for data ingestion, preprocessing, model training, fine-tuning, and deployment.
- Integrate structured and unstructured banking data securely with data engineering teams.
- Optimize vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval mechanisms.
- Maintain model governance, explainability, and compliance with banking regulations.
- Translate business and domain requirements into AI-driven solutions.
- Monitor model performance, implement feedback loops, and improve AI systems.
- Track emerging AI technologies and frameworks relevant to banking.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience with Generative AI, LLMs or SLMs, RAG architecture, and vector databases.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, AI/ML, or a related field.
- Strong Python skills with TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, Hugging Face, or similar frameworks.
- Hands-on knowledge of Agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and MLOps practices including Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
- Understanding of data security, compliance, and governance in regulated industries.
- Ability to mentor team members, apply analytical problem-solving, and guide Agile work.
Preferred Qualifications
- AI/ML certifications such as AWS AI/ML Specialty, Microsoft AI Engineer, NVIDIA Deep Learning, or Generative AI certifications.
- Experience with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and RAG-enhanced Generative AI models.
- Exposure to agent-based AI solutions in enterprise settings.
- Knowledge of banking processes including risk, compliance, KYC, lending, or fraud detection.
