About the Role

- Collaborate with team to design and architect network solutions (LAN, WAN, data centre, cloud)
- Ensure network designs align with business requirements and industry best practices
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to team members during design and implementation
- Review and approve network designs and configurations
- Oversee deployment, configuration, and maintenance of network devices
- Lead network related projects, establish project plans, allocate resources
- Lead efforts to optimize network performance
- Collaborate with cross functional teams
- Establish and enforce technical standards and governance processes
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers
- Ensure network solutions meet security requirements
Requirements
- Solid expertise in networking concepts, protocols, architectures, and services
- Proficiency in configuring and managing complex network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)
- Knowledge of advanced network protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, QoS)
- Good documentation and communication skills
- Project management, resource allocation, and budget management abilities
- Good problem solving skills for complex network issues
- Developing people management capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Solid experience in network engineering including design, implementation, and leadership
- Solid WAN and LAN experience
- Relevant experience leading and managing a networking engineering team

Academic Qualifications and Certifications

- Network Administration certification (Azure, Google, Amazon) preferred
- CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or JNCIA beneficial
- CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent preferred
Required Experience
- Solid experience in network engineering including design, implementation, and leadership
- Solid experience working in a networking environment
- Solid experience with network security
- Solid WAN and LAN experience
- Solid experience in wireless equipment, protocols, standards, and wireless LAN design
- Solid familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and network automation is a plus
- Relevant experience leading and managing a networking engineering team
