Job Overview
- We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated European Expat Team Lead Mechanic with a strong background in mechanics, particularly with heavy machinery, who can lead and manage a diverse team.
- The ideal candidate will have international experience, ideally in large scale projects, and be comfortable working abroad for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a team of local mechanics to ensure optimal performance and maintenance of heavy machinery.
- Conduct inspections and ensure the equipment is maintained according to company standards and safety guidelines.
- Provide preventive maintenance and execute repairs for various heavy earth moving machines.
- Act as the liaison between the back office (procurement, administration, logistics) and the team of mechanics on site.
- Prepare reports on equipment status, workshop performance, and operational challenges.
- Develop and implement efficient work schedules and ensure the team operates effectively.
- Ensure all work complies with health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Constant travel to visit and inspect workshops within GCC or other project sites.
- Report directly to the Workshop Manager regarding progress, challenges, and team performance.
