Team Lead, Electrical Engineering

Overview

Your role

• Oversee project or local electrical team resources as a technical mentor, project manager, or team leader.
• Lead or support functional planning, preliminary design, detailed design, and construction administration.
• Support corporate methods and procedures with the Director, Mechanical and Electrical West.
• Lead proposals, strategic planning, estimates, technical bid evaluations, and business development initiatives.
• Build client relationships, assess resource needs, and support recruitment, performance, training, and development processes.
• Collaborate across disciplines, communicate project status and solutions, oversee QA/QC, and resolve construction issues.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and project delivery efficiency.

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and APEGA P.Eng. registration.
• At least 12 years of relevant electrical engineering consulting experience.
• At least 3 years managing or coordinating technical teams.
• Strong business acumen, client-facing skills, engineering knowledge, and industry standards knowledge.
• Experience developing client relationships and supervising, mentoring, and motivating engineering teams.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within and outside the province of residence.
• PMP or CAPM and AutoCAD or Revit experience are assets.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
