Overview
- The Teaching & Learning Specialist supports the monitoring of student academic progress and the delivery of targeted academic support and development initiatives.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor student academic progress using assessment results, observation, and achievement data to identify students who may require additional academic support.
- Assist in identifying barriers to academic success and contribute to the implementation of appropriate academic support strategies.
- Support the delivery of personalized academic interventions for at risk students and those seeking to enhance their academic performance.
- Collect, manage, and analyze student data to support the identification and monitoring of at risk and non traditional student populations.
- Support the implementation of assessment strategies to evaluate student learning outcomes and the effectiveness of academic interventions.
- Coordinate with student support services to address learning challenges and promote academic success.
- Assist in the design and delivery of academic enhancement workshops and learning sessions, and track student participation and feedback.
- Support the delivery of workshops related to leadership, critical thinking, grit, and other academic or professional skills.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of student orientation materials and training sessions.
- Support the coordination of peer based learning initiatives, including the Peer Tutoring Program and Peer Mentoring activities, under supervision.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and coordinating student tutors and peer mentors in accordance with program guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to student support activities and program outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), Education, or related subjects. Bilingual fluency (English and Arabic) is preferred.
- Adaptability, proactivity, willingness to take on additional responsibilities; skilled in relationship building and teamwork.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
