Responsibilities
- Assist in providing learning experiences from the DSGD approved curriculum
- Discuss assigned duties with classroom teachers to coordinate instructional efforts
- Prepare lesson materials, bulletin board displays, exhibits, equipment, and demonstrations
- Present subject matter to students under teacher guidance using lectures, discussions, or role playing
- Tutor and assist children individually or in small groups
- Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, school yards, gymnasiums, or on field trips
- Cover classes in short term absence of a teacher under guidance of Head of Year
- Distribute teaching materials, tests, and homework assignments
- Organize and supervise games and recreational activities
- Participate in teacher parent conferences regarding student progress
- Prepare lesson outlines and plans in assigned subject areas
- Provide extra assistance to students with special needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in teaching from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching
- Required teaching certification for Qatar MOEHE
- Meet professional teacher education requirements of school
- Child Care and Protection knowledge
- Excellent communication skills and command of English

Purpose of Role

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
