Responsibilities
- Read and understand drawings, Tankage layouts, Schematics, Tank support detail drawings, Bill of materials
- Be acquainted with different types of Tanks, Construction & testing requirements
- Read and understand Weld bevel and edge preparation details from drawings
- Make developments of various shapes and cutting layouts
- Ensure and transfer material identification/traceability during cutting & Fit ups
- Differentiate different material grades and ensure required precautions to avoid mix up
- Ensure construction tools & Instruments are calibrated and fit for use
- Understand welder’s point of view in terms of welding ease
- Carry out line walks along with QC inspectors and demonstrate/understand Punch points
- Maintain internal cleanliness of Tankage components by ensuring proper enclosures
- Understand, apply and comply with applicable health, safety, environmental standards and procedures
- Follow immediate Supervisor’s instructions and apply them strictly
Requirements
- Minimum 10th Standard Passed with a 2 Year Industrial Training Institute certification (including NCVT) under Fitter trade
- Ability to read and understand English
- Experience in tank fitting and construction
- Knowledge of weld bevel and edge preparation details from drawings
- Ability to work independently with minimal assistance

Job Description
- Working as a Tank Fitter.
Knowledge & Qualification
- Should be able to work independently without much assistance.
- Should be able to read and understand English.
- Minimum 10th Standard Passed with a 2 Year Industrial training Institute certification (including NCVT certificate) from a Government recognized ITI Institutions under Fitter trade.
- Minimum 10th Standard Passed.
Role & Responsibilities
- Read and understand drawings, Tankage layouts, Schematics, Tank support detail drawings, Bill of materials etc.
- Should be acquainted with different types of Tanks, Construction & testing requirements Tanks bottoms, internal decks, Floating roofs, Dome roofs etc.
- Read and understand Weld bevel and edge preparation details from drawings.
- Make developments of various shapes and cutting layouts.
- Ensure and transfer material identification/traceability during cutting & Fit ups.
- Differentiate different material grades and ensure required precautions are taken, to avoid mix up and contamination of various grades.
- Ensure / preserve construction tools & Instruments, which are used on job, are calibrated and fit for use.
- Ability to know & understand welder’s point of view in terms of welding ease.
- Carry out line walks along with QC inspectors and should be able to demonstrate and understand Punch points.
- Maintain, internal Cleanliness of Tankage components by ensuring proper enclosures.
