Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of pipefitters, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure high quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee piping projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.
- Inspect piping installations and repairs to ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout and specifications of piping systems.
- Develop work schedules for piping staff, assigning tasks based on project needs and team members' skills and availability.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, and other trades, ensuring clear communication regarding project progress, issues, and changes.
- Identify and resolve issues that arise during piping installations or repairs, including troubleshooting and providing effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including project timelines, materials used, and any changes to project scope.
- Ensure that all piping work is performed in accordance with safety protocols and regulations, promoting a culture of safety among team members.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of piping tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
