Role Overview
Provide tailoring services to customers purchasing ready-made fashion products.
Measure, alter, fit, repair, and finish garments so they meet customer requirements and brand quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Take accurate measurements and understand alteration requirements.
- Alter ready-made garments, including suits, pants, shorts, and dresses.
- Perform hemming, shortening, waist and sleeve adjustments, resizing, and other modifications.
- Replace buttons, zippers, and hooks and complete minor stitching repairs.
- Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments.
- Complete alterations accurately within agreed timelines.
- Maintain stitching, finishing, and garment presentation standards.
- Handle delicate, premium, and different types of fabrics carefully.
- Coordinate customer requests and delivery timelines with store and sales teams.
- Communicate measurements, alterations, and expected completion times to customers.
- Inspect completed garments before returning them.
- Maintain tailoring equipment and workspace and report equipment issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Tailor, preferably in a fashion retail store, boutique, or alteration shop.
- Strong knowledge of garment alterations and stitching techniques.
