Systems Integration/Test Engineer Sr - E3

The Systems Integration/Test Engineer Sr focuses on the end‑to‑end integration and verification of telemetry avionics subsystems (e.g., RF transmitters, data‑handling units, antenna pointing controllers, and on‑board recorders) that support flight‑termination and mission telemetry.

You will drive package‑level test planning and events, and ensure that each telemetry block reaches the required performance and safety maturity before it is incorporated into the full system.

Telemetry is the “eyes and ears” of any flight‑termination system.

Ensuring these subsystems are rigorously tested, validated, and ready for flight safeguards mission success and national security.

As the senior I&T engineer, you will directly influence the reliability and performance of the data path that informs critical abort decisions.

• Define, Document, and Test telemetry hardware (RF front‑end, modulators, digital processors) with power, data, and mechanical interfaces.
• Verify electrical and mechanical interface compliance (pin‑outs, connector standards, mounting tolerances, EMI/EMC limits).

• Author detailed Package Test Plans and Reports that trace back to requirements
• Ensure test site readiness for test execution.
• Travel as necessary to support testing.

• Capture data & analyze performance metrics
• Generate Test Readiness Review (TRR) packages for each milestone.
• Failure Analysis and Corrective Action execution.

Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems.

Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.

Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.

Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems.

Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations.

Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance.

Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.

• Final Secret Security Clearance to start; the ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance
• Ability to travel to U.S. locations to support events as necessary. Up to 25%.

• Degree in Electrical/Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Experience with satellite or launch‑vehicle telemetry payloads.
• Telemetry‑specific knowledge – RF design, link budget analysis, data‑format standards (e.g., CCSDS, TM/TC protocols), antenna pointing/control systems.
• Test instrumentation – Spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, high‑speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, BER testers, and data‑acquisition hardware.
• Software & simulation – Proficiency with HIL platforms (e.g., NI LabVIEW, dSPACE), real‑time operating systems, and scripting for automated test execution.
• Experience with System trade studies, CONOPS, constraints and/or system modeling
• Experience with Standards compliance – Range Safety, MIL-STD-461, Safety Critical Verification processes.
• Documentation & traceability – Ability to produce requirement‑traceable test artifacts and maintain configuration control.
• Familiarity with model‑based engineering (SysML, Cameo) and Agile/SAFe execution frameworks.

Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00
