Education
- Bachelor’s degree in instrumentation or electronics engineering, such as BE or BTech.
Role responsibilities
- Develop and execute control systems hardware and application software for DCS, ESD, and fire and gas systems.
- Perform detailed engineering, system architecture, and bill-of-materials activities.
- Interpret customer specifications, requests for quotation, system architecture, P&IDs, control narratives, and logic diagrams.
- Complete hardware and software testing, factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, commissioning, loop checking, and system cutovers.
- Supervise control and safety system installation during site visits and hand over completed projects to the customer or service team.
- Complete assigned work against the project plan with consistent quality.
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety procedures during engineering and site execution.
- Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to implementation.
Technical skills
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with DCS, safety PLC, or PLC systems, preferably Honeywell systems.
- Experience with Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, OPC, Profinet, Profibus, or similar third-party interfaces.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and switch or router configurations.
- Virtualization of control nodes is an added advantage.
- Experience with Excel Macros or Power BI is an added advantage.
Working style
- Work closely with project leads, engineering supervisors, other leads, and project managers.
