Job Summary
The City of Ottawa Transit Customer Systems and Planning Service supports customer service, service planning, technology, and control systems for transit operations.
The Systems Analyst serves as a technical specialist for technology systems used in transit vehicles and transit information technology operations.
Employment and Compensation
- This is a full-time temporary position for up to 18 months.
- The salary range is CAD 68,544.84 to CAD 97,215.30 annually based on 2023 rates of pay.
- The scheduled work week is 35 hours.
Core Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair Mobile Data Terminals, RF radios, AVL readers, communication radios, Fuel Focus equipment, and vehicle diagnostic laptops.
- Determine hardware and software components required for transit information technology systems.
- Plan technology system life cycles, maintain hardware performance, and support system users.
- Troubleshoot complex technical problems and debug, repair, or design electronic and mechanical components.
- Collect and analyze data, formulate recommendations, and prepare technical documentation.
