About the role
The Computer Systems Administrator helps maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Provides on-going operations and maintenance o
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in daily briefing with the end-user to provide status of the systems
- Perform on-site System Administration support to the end-user personnel and assist the end-user engineers with administering the system
- Perform System Administration tasks for routine, emergency, test and exercise events in accordance with Technical Manuals, Operating Instructions, and checklists
- Perform user account maintenance to include the creation, management, and deletion of user and group accounts, profiles, and policies
- Perform On-The-Job-Training (OJT) and one-on-one assistance on the systems
- Perform active monitoring of mission systems’ operational performance and link status to detect issues that may cause disruption of services
- Perform data collection (including application, system, and security logs) of any unexpected service disruption and upon request provide data to the end-user to support deficiency resolution and post event forensics
- Perform error detection and fault correction of the systems
- Perform backups and archive of the systems in accordance with Technical Manuals, Operating Instructions, and checklists
- Perform recovery and restoration of the systems in accordance with Technical Manuals, Operating Instructions, and checklists
