System Engineer / Electrical Developer – MV Switchgear Engineering

Job duties can be broken across 3 categories: “Design & Documentation”, “Collaboration”, “Support and Quality”

Work independently to create all documents for customer approval and manufacturing of MV AIS switchgear for GMSG per design specifications using Engineering Design and Configurators software. Typical documents include Electrical schematics, Panel arrangement, Bill of materials, Nameplate schedule, Three-line drawings, & Wiring diagram.

Collaborate with multiple partners across project lifecycles, including Application Engineers, Project Engineers, and Mechanical Engineers.

Ownership of the overall work you're doing from an electrical standpoint – including design, drafting, customer and factory work point of view.

Provide factory support during the manufacturing phase of your projects, making sure quality requirements are met. Also, in the process of providing technical support or clarifications to customers during FAT.

Initiate and support product as well as process improvements through cross-team collaboration

Expertise and Understanding of Protection philosophy and component selection

Prepare Customer-facing Closeout / As built documents for the complete scope of work.
