Job Summary
Manage and maintain IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
Provide proactive technical administration and troubleshooting in a fast-paced IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual Windows and Linux servers.
- Develop and manage backup and recovery plans.
- Configure and troubleshoot load balancers for high availability of web services.
- Manage switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and other network infrastructure.
- Implement security measures including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Monitor system performance and compliance with security standards.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, and Windows Server roles.
- Administer Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware ESXi, and VMware Horizon VDI environments.
- Tune performance, apply patches, maintain documentation, and automate routine tasks.
- Assist with disaster recovery planning and testing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- The description lists a minimum of 3–5 years of system administration experience.
- The description also lists 4 years of System Administrator experience as required.
- Proficiency with Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with load balancer technologies such as HAProxy, F5, or NGINX.
- Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, virtualization, VDI, cloud platforms, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Relevant certifications are preferred, including CompTIA or Microsoft certifications.
- Database management experience with SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or Cassandra is optional.
