Main Objective of Role

Completes all mandated pilot training on flydubai simulators in accordance with GCAA requirements and flydubai training programme standards.

Training and Assessment

  • Conducts pilot training on flydubai simulators for the issue, revalidation, and renewal of an Instrument Rating.
  • Assesses training procedures against the Operations Manual and flydubai operating policies.
  • Evaluates and documents pilots’ performance during training and ensures progress reports are accurately filed.
  • Conducts and documents required simulator and flight training device sessions described in the relevant OMD1.

Procedures and Safety

  • Provides oversight and guidance to flight crew on updates to operating procedures.
  • Proposes operating procedure improvements that aim to improve efficiency and raise safety standards.
  • Provides management input when gaps are identified in training procedures.
  • Provides feedback on pilot performance to support remedial actions.

Records and Remedial Training

  • Completes all required training forms on time and ensures proper administration and filing with relevant teams.
  • Recommends remedial training programmes tailored to each pilot’s training needs.

Recruitment and Programme Support

  • Supports recruitment by evaluating pilot simulator competence and completing new-hire assessment reports.
  • Carries out office duties, projects, course development, and other tasks supporting the pilot training programme.
  • Provides ground-school lectures when applicable.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • Fluent in English.
  • At least 2,000 hours of total flight time, including 1,500 hours as a pilot on multi-pilot aircraft.
  • 7–9 years of experience.
  • For the stated Instrument Rating training duties, the pilot holds or has held an IR on the 737 and has completed the Instrument Rating Instructor course.

  • Reads and complies with company ISR policies.
  • Reports information-security weaknesses or incidents to the relevant line manager or Information Security team.
  • Completes required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated operational guidelines.
