Role description
The Sustainability Director is a part-time, remote role responsible for leading sustainability strategy and implementation.
The role oversees corporate sustainability initiatives, measurable goals, progress tracking, and alignment with business objectives.
Core responsibilities
- Manage sustainability reporting frameworks and coordinate data collection.
- Prepare internal and external reports on environmental and social performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CSR into policies, programs, and stakeholder communications.
- Monitor carbon and environmental metrics.
- Stay current with emerging regulations and standards.
- Advise leadership on sustainability risks and opportunities and recommend improvements.
Required qualifications
- Strong expertise in corporate sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
- Skills in sustainability reporting and familiarity with common reporting frameworks and standards.
- Knowledge of carbon management, emissions measurement, and reduction strategies.
- A solid foundation in environmental science or a related discipline.
- Experience leading sustainability programs, strong analytical and data interpretation skills, and clear communication ability.
