Responsibilities
- Install, test, and operate survey and positioning equipment including GNSS, echo sounders, gyrocompasses, motion reference units, bathymetric systems, etc.
- Conduct regular maintenance of equipment
- Plan, test, and supervise installation and configuration of survey equipment
- Liaise with marine crew and third parties regarding deck operations and equipment installation
- Quality control results, analysis and interpretation of data
- Accurately report equipment failures
- Maintain offshore equipment inventory and stock levels
- Provide technical support to Project Surveyors
- Act as Online Surveyor when required
- Perform risk assessments and tool box talks
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or a related subject (or appropriate military qualification)
- Fluent in English
- Minimum 2 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience with EIVA NaviPac and TMS
- Experience with shallow water pipe lay operations (s lay)
- Experience with anchor barge operations
- Experience with GAPS USBL

Job Description
- Survey Engineer role for various offshore projects/vessels worldwide.
- Offshore role working on board vessels in rotation (35/35) as part of an international team.
Main Responsibilities
- Installation, testing and operation of Survey and Positioning equipment.
- Conducting regular maintenance of equipment.
- Planning, testing and supervising installation and configuration of survey equipment.
- Liaising with marine crew and third parties with regard to deck operations and equipment installation.
- Quality controlling results, analysis and interpretation of data.
- Accurate reporting of equipment failures.
- Maintain offshore equipment inventory and stock levels.
- Providing technical support to Project Surveyors.
- Acting as Online Surveyor when required.
- Performing risk assessments and tool box talks.
- Conducting all activities following Company Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Adhering to Company safety, health and environmental procedures and policies.
Essential Requirements
- A solid understanding of survey engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or a related subject (or appropriate military qualification).
- Fluent in English.
- Minimum 2 3 years’ relevant experience.
- MUST HAVE Technical Experience: EIVA NaviPac and TMS, Shallow water pipe lay operations (s lay), Anchor barge operations, GAPS USBL.
