Support Worker - Night Awake

genU is looking for an experienced Support Workers who can team up with our customers. You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities and requiring mental health support, as they make the transition from hospital to home.

Support person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and working to achieve them;

Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting and medication administration;

Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; and

Administration duties and mandatory reporting

Extensive experience in supporting customers with behavioural support plans;

Extensive experience working with challenging behaviours- essential;

An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities;

Ability to manage complex or difficult situations as they arise with patience and maturity;

Previous experience with manual handling and medication administration;

Willingness to assist with personal care experience;

Cert III in Disability, Individual Support or higher (or working towards one) OR proven experience supporting people living with disability or mental health is essential;

A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate).
