Position overview
The Support Analyst provides departmental support for database systems and related Revenue Services processes.
The role provides first-line business and system support for departmental users of department-specific software, billing systems, clinical applications, and accounting systems.
The position is based in Burnaby, BC, with Monday to Friday hours from 08:00 to 16:00.
What you’ll do
- Support internal users of health authority database systems, accounting systems, and external interfaces.
- Respond to user enquiries, troubleshoot system problems, and test system solutions with stakeholders.
- Update procedures, compile departmental data, produce reports, and respond to ad hoc information requests.
- Monitor computer-job schedules, recreate reports, and reconcile billing control totals with general-ledger accounts.
- Monitor reports, error messages, and operating-system logs and resolve routine system problems.
- Investigate software and minor hardware issues, determine corrective actions, and route unresolved incidents.
- Provide input into technical support procedures and perform user acceptance testing for system changes and fixes.
- Train and orient users on department-specific software and maintain instructional materials.
