Role overview
Coordinates specialty nursing education and student practice education programs for BC Children’s and Women’s Hospital.
Supports program development, financial tracking, data collection, reporting, evaluation, and technology needs for specialty programs.
Works with internal and external education partners, academic institutions, government organizations, and healthcare stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate student placements, resolve placement challenges, establish sites, and communicate applicable policies.
- Manage affiliation agreements, contracts, risk controls, audits, renewals, and compliance with organizational terms.
- Lead HSPnet operations, including placement coordination, user training, troubleshooting, reporting, and system enhancement recommendations.
- Monitor budgets, analyze financial variances, support revenue strategies, and supervise casual, clerical, and contractor staff.
- Manage research grants and donations, application reviews, funded-project reporting, and related websites and teamsites.
- Assess and plan education facilities, including renovation budgets, room improvements, construction scheduling, and equipment.
