Role Overview
Wellversed is seeking a proactive, solutions-oriented Supply Chain Specialist to support supply chain, distribution, and logistics execution.
Responsibilities
- Select, onboard, and manage transporters while ensuring truck availability, utilization, freight rates, and disruption contingencies.
- Plan daily purchase order dispatch schedules, ensure FIFO docking, align reverse pickups, and prevent supply-related sales interruptions.
- Manage loading, decantation, enroute delays, diversions, accidents, off-spec material, and quality or quantity discrepancies.
- Monitor logistics service-provider performance and drive process and network improvements using logistics SaaS platforms.
- Ensure statutory and safety compliance, support incident investigations, manage marine insurance and dispute closure, and handle applicable EXIM logistics.
- Coordinate with sales, terminals, transporters, and head-office teams; close proofs of delivery and publish logistics MIS reports.
Skills Required
- At least 1 year of experience in supply chain, logistics, or distribution.
- Patience and ability to manage relationships with last-mile logistics partners.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong active listening skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent email writing and verbal communication skills.
