Work on a contract basis as a Supply Chain Manager for one of the employer's clients.
Oversee end-to-end logistics operations across multiple regions.
Manage supplier relationships, optimize inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels across warehouses to prevent stockouts while minimizing excess holding costs.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and production teams to align on demand forecasts.
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and recommend data-driven improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with supply chain management software and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is required.
- Proficiency in demand planning, forecasting, and inventory optimization tools is necessary.
- Strong analytical skills to assess supplier performance, cost structures, and risk factors.
- Knowledge of logistics operations, including transportation management and customs compliance.
- Familiarity with lean methodologies and continuous improvement principles in supply chain processes is preferred.
