Contract remote Supply Chain Manager role overseeing end-to-end logistics operations.
The role manages supplier relationships, inventory levels, and timely delivery across multiple regions.
Compensation
- Payout is $55-$100 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Negotiate supplier contracts covering terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor warehouse inventory to prevent stockouts and minimize excess holding costs.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and production teams on demand forecasts.
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and recommend data-driven improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A proven track record in supply chain coordination and cost reduction strategies is required.
- Experience with supply chain management software and ERP systems is required; SAP or Oracle are examples provided by the source.
- Proficiency in demand planning, forecasting, and inventory optimization tools is necessary.
- Strong analytical skills are required to assess supplier performance, cost structures, and risk factors.
- Knowledge of logistics operations, including transportation management and customs compliance, is required.
- Familiarity with lean methodologies and continuous improvement principles is preferred.
