About the Role
Apt Resources is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager for an industrial manufacturing client in Iraq. The role involves leading end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, planning, logistics, and warehousing, with a focus on gypsum manufacturing and construction materials.

Responsibilities
- Lead all procurement, planning, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management activities across the business
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for production lines, raw materials, and general business needs
- Establish strong relationships with local and international suppliers while negotiating commercial terms and long term supply contracts
- Ensure adequate stock levels of raw materials and critical spare parts to support uninterrupted production
- Lead production planning and demand forecasting processes in coordination with manufacturing and commercial teams
- Monitor inventory levels and implement initiatives to reduce excess stock, obsolete materials, and working capital requirements
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics activities, including transportation planning, distribution, and export coordination
- Develop supplier performance management systems and conduct regular supplier evaluations
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and supply chain efficiency enhancement
- Support ERP implementation and supply chain digitalization initiatives
- Build Supply Chain department SOPs
- Prepare and monitor supply chain KPIs, including inventory turnover, procurement savings, service levels, forecast accuracy, and logistics performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of experience in supply chain management within industrial manufacturing environments
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience
- Direct experience in gypsum manufacturing is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of procurement, planning, warehousing, logistics, inventory control, and supplier management
- Experience with ERP systems and supply chain reporting tools
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in developing or emerging markets
- Professional certifications such as APICS, CSCP, CPIM, CIPS, or equivalent
- Experience managing international sourcing and import activities

Overview
- Apt Resources is recruiting on behalf of a client in the Industrial & Manufacturing sector for an experienced Supply Chain Manager in Iraq.
- The successful candidate will lead and optimize the end to end supply chain function for a group of companies in industrial manufacturing.
- The role requires strong exposure to gypsum manufacturing, construction materials, metal profiles, silica, glass, and fleet acquisition, as well as production line purchasing for industrial and pharmaceutical.

Compensation
- Salary Range: USD 5,000 8,000 per month.
