Role Description
The Supply Chain Director will oversee end-to-end supply chain activities supporting investment promotion initiatives in Mauritania.
This is a part-time, remote role focused on production planning, procurement, and supply chain operations.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement supply chain policies aligned with organizational strategy.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure cost-effective, timely delivery of goods and services.
- Analyze data to improve processes, manage risks, and prepare reports and recommendations for senior leadership.
- Collaborate across departments to support sustainable, efficient, and compliant supply chain practices.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in supply chain management and supply chain operations.
- Experience in production planning, procurement, vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.
- Advanced analytical skills and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in a senior supply chain or operations leadership role.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with international trade regulations, compliance standards, and sustainable supply chain practices is an asset.
- Proficiency in relevant digital tools and ERP or supply chain management systems.
