Position Overview

  • Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Senior Kitchen Supervisor to oversee kitchen operations in Dubai.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of cooks and the kitchen brigade.
  • Determine plating of dishes and create food decorations.
  • Ensure proper portions, plating, and garnish for service.
  • Monitor quantity of food being prepared.
  • Inform food service team of removed dishes and specials available.
  • Prepare special dishes or substitute ingredients.
  • Assist cooks and brigade with various tasks.
  • Provide items needed by cooks.
  • Monitor kitchen supplies and food stock.
  • Maintain kitchen logs for safety and food programs.
  • Ensure food quality and report issues to manager.
  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Diploma from a technical, trade, or vocational school.
  • 4 to 6 years of related work experience.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • No license or certification required.
