- Prepare and review crucial design documents for EHV substations, including SLDs, layouts, equipment specifications, and protection & control schemes
- Execute detailed substation engineering for GIS substations (both primary and secondary system designs)
- Ensure all engineering designs comply seamlessly with client specs, local utility guidelines, and global IEC/IEEE standards
- Actively support design reviews, technical evaluations, and critical site engineering activities
- Demonstrate top tier technical coordination and communication skills throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
- 8+ years of dedicated experience in EHV substation design
- Core expertise in EHV substation design, specifically 400kV, 220kV, and 132kV (mainly GIS) projects
- Previous working experience on substation projects in Doha (Qatar) or KSA is highly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Strong mastery of IEC/IEEE standards, utility specifications, and modern engineering design software
