About the Position
The Subsea Controls Engineer is part of Chevron ENGINE’s Subsea team.
The role provides engineering support for long-term management of subsea controls equipment used in subsea production systems.
Primary areas include electro-hydraulic controls, instrumentation, automation, reliability, system performance, compliance, and contractor management.
Core Subsea Responsibilities
- Monitor subsea control systems and troubleshoot errors and failures.
- Assess instrument data important to subsea equipment health.
- Coordinate vendor scopes for maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of subsea equipment.
- Support offshore operations staff with subsea system operation, inspection, and maintenance.
- Resolve technical issues involving subsea equipment.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and obtain as-built documentation.
Engineering and Project Support
- Provide advanced design verification support for projects from concept development and FEED through design, procurement, fabrication, testing, installation, and pre-commissioning.
- Support pipeline concept development and integrity management planning for reliable pipeline systems.
