Responsibilities
- Own student welfare and support: first point of contact for welfare concerns including academic stress, mental health, interpersonal conflict, health issues, homesickness, financial difficulty
- Triage, document, escalate where needed, and follow through until cases are resolved
- Co design and deliver orientation programming and term events with the Regional Head
- Manage day to day student communications: proactive updates, welfare check ins, event coordination across channels
- Support Student Council engagement and act as liaison between students and the wider Tetr team
- Maintain accurate welfare case records, student documentation, and term trackers
- Contribute to SOP development and flag process gaps to the Regional Head
Requirements
- 1 3 years in student welfare, student experience, counselling support, programme management, or directly related role in higher education or youth facing organisations
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trust quickly with students from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Organised and documentation conscious
- Understanding of international student adjustment patterns
- Able to hold emotionally demanding situations without burning out
- Comfortable with ambiguity and a reactive caseload
- Willing and able to travel and live across two countries for the academic year
- Degree in psychology, education, human development, or a related field

About Tetr College of Business
- Tetr College of Business is an innovative undergraduate program under Masters' Union, designed to cultivate the next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs with a focus on experiential learning and industry immersion.
The Opportunity
- This is a generalist welfare role handling everything from student anxiety to medical escalations, and helping design systems and content to prevent issues from compounding. You work alongside a second SWM as part of a six person regional team that travels across Dubai and India.
What You Will Achieve
- Build trusted relationships across a cohort of over 300 students so they come to you before situations escalate.
- Manage a caseload of welfare cases from first contact through to resolution, with clean documentation throughout.
- Co design and deliver orientation programming and term events with the Regional Head.
- Contribute to at least one SOP or process improvement that makes the team's welfare response faster or clearer.
- Complete Mental Health First Aid certification if not already held.
What You Will Do
- Own Student Welfare and Support: first point of contact for welfare concerns, triage, document, escalate, and follow through.
- Orientation and Programme Delivery: co design and deliver orientation programming, run student facing sessions, workshops, and community events.
- Community and Communications: manage day to day student communications, support Student Council engagement, build clan culture and cross cohort connection.
- Systems and Documentation: maintain accurate welfare case records, student documentation, and term trackers; contribute to SOP development.
What We Need From You Essential
- 1 3 years in student welfare, student experience, counselling support, programme management, or directly related role in higher education or youth facing organisations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trust quickly with students from many different countries and cultural backgrounds.
- Organised and documentation conscious.
- Understanding of international student adjustment patterns: culture shock, identity dislocation, emotional arc of a first term abroad.
- Able to hold emotionally demanding situations without burning out.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and a reactive caseload.
- Willing and able to travel and live across two countries for the academic year.
- Degree in psychology, education, human development, or a related field.
Desirable
- Mental Health First Aid certification (required within 60 days if not already).
- Experience working in multicultural or internationally distributed programmes.
- Familiarity with student conduct and behavioural intervention processes.
