About Tetr College of Business

  • Tetr College of Business is an innovative undergraduate program under Masters' Union, designed to cultivate the next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs with a focus on experiential learning and industry immersion.

The Opportunity

  • This is a generalist welfare role handling everything from student anxiety to medical escalations, and helping design systems and content to prevent issues from compounding. You work alongside a second SWM as part of a six person regional team that travels across Dubai and India.

What You Will Achieve

  • Build trusted relationships across a cohort of over 300 students so they come to you before situations escalate.
  • Manage a caseload of welfare cases from first contact through to resolution, with clean documentation throughout.
  • Co design and deliver orientation programming and term events with the Regional Head.
  • Contribute to at least one SOP or process improvement that makes the team's welfare response faster or clearer.
  • Complete Mental Health First Aid certification if not already held.

What You Will Do

  • Own Student Welfare and Support: first point of contact for welfare concerns, triage, document, escalate, and follow through.
  • Orientation and Programme Delivery: co design and deliver orientation programming, run student facing sessions, workshops, and community events.
  • Community and Communications: manage day to day student communications, support Student Council engagement, build clan culture and cross cohort connection.
  • Systems and Documentation: maintain accurate welfare case records, student documentation, and term trackers; contribute to SOP development.

What We Need From You Essential

  • 1 3 years in student welfare, student experience, counselling support, programme management, or directly related role in higher education or youth facing organisations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build trust quickly with students from many different countries and cultural backgrounds.
  • Organised and documentation conscious.
  • Understanding of international student adjustment patterns: culture shock, identity dislocation, emotional arc of a first term abroad.
  • Able to hold emotionally demanding situations without burning out.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and a reactive caseload.
  • Willing and able to travel and live across two countries for the academic year.
  • Degree in psychology, education, human development, or a related field.

Desirable

  • Mental Health First Aid certification (required within 60 days if not already).
  • Experience working in multicultural or internationally distributed programmes.
  • Familiarity with student conduct and behavioural intervention processes.
