Responsibilities
- Conduct literature reviews of academic papers related to approximate computing adders.
- Research and evaluate existing approximate adder designs and methodologies.
- Develop an understanding of the underlying design principles of approximate computing adders.
- Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of existing adder designs.
- Compare and assess current approaches to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Propose new design approaches and enhancements when appropriate.
- Document findings and summarize research outcomes.
- Perform other research-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with digital logic concepts and circuits.
- Knowledge of full adders, ripple carry adders, and related digital design principles.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate digital circuit designs and architectures.
- Understanding of fundamental concepts in computer or electrical engineering.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with carry look-ahead adders and other advanced adder architectures.
- Familiarity with various adder design techniques and their performance characteristics.
