About the Role
Parsons is seeking a Structural Inspector to supervise and inspect structural works for projects in Dubai. The role requires a diploma or degree in civil engineering, 5+ years of experience in structural inspection within the region, and knowledge of construction processes.

Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications
- Perform inspection activities including demolition, construction of structures such as reservoirs, lifting stations, landscaping structures, lagoons, swimming pools, substations, retaining walls, tunnels, bridges, etc.
- Maintain office files related to the project, quantity calculations, and write daily diaries
- Prepare daily reports and other documentation as required by the contract
- Verify only approved materials are incorporated in the work
- Perform labor compliance interviews and maintain as built plans
- Recognize potential conflicts, issues, and problems; identify possible solutions and advise supervisor
- Collect, review, and file Certificate of Compliance, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), inspection tags, and other information relevant to materials used
- Report on installed quantities to verify applications for payment and change order work
- Coordinate work of subconsultants for surveying and material testing
- Assist with the development of job safety practices and reports
- Support the creation of quality control procedures and reports
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor degree in civil engineering or related field, or equivalent
- 5+ years of work experience in the capacity of structural inspector within the region
- Knowledge of public works contracts and construction related processes
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Effective math skills including knowledge of engineering calculations, graphs, and charts
- Knowledge of basic computer applications including Microsoft Office, Project Management Software, and internet search engines
- Effective diary and reporting skills
- Knowledge of English grammar and composition
- Understanding of scheduling
- Ability to recognize hazardous work conditions and take necessary action
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Structural Inspector to join our team! In this role you will get to supervise and inspect the structural works related to the Project.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conducts inspections to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications.
- Performs inspection activities which may include demolition of various structural elements, activities related to the construction of structures such as reservoirs, lifting stations, landscaping structures, lagoons, swimming pools, substations, retaining walls, tunnels, bridges etc.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

What Desired Skills You'll Bring
- Authority Certification/approvals in related field and HSE trainings will be advantage.
- Construction safety training, including 10 hours of OSHA training, is desired
