Key Responsibilities
- Support accepted engineering practices, regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and local or global standards.
- Prepare offshore structural design specifications, detailed designs, drawings, calculations, reports, MTOs, and BOQs.
- Maintain accurate design documentation and review designs against user requirements.
- Conduct studies and analyses, recommend actions, solve engineering problems, and identify project scope changes.
- Support checking procedures, peer reviews, comment resolution, and multidisciplinary engineering services.
- Be available for offshore site surveys.
- Work within quality assurance systems and applicable occupational health and safety procedures.
- Implement HSE in the design process with emphasis on process safety and best practice.
Education and Accreditation
- A full-time bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited university is required.
- MME engineering accreditation is mandatory, or must be obtained during the probationary period.
- Chartered Professional Engineer status or active pursuit of the status is advantageous.
Industry Experience
- Experience in structural engineering for offshore oil and gas projects is required.
- Offshore structural engineering experience on multidisciplinary projects and teams is required.
- Good knowledge of discipline design and engineering across different discipline areas is required.
- Experience with marine and port infrastructure is preferred.
IT Skills
- The role uses STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD, and related engineering tools.
Workplace and Safety
- The role requires availability for offshore site surveys.
- The role includes personal safety responsibilities and work under occupational health and safety procedures.
