Job Summary
Support the structural design, analysis, and engineering of aluminum and façade systems.
Ensure curtain walls, glazing, cladding, windows, doors, and support systems are safe, compliant, fabricable, and suitable for installation.
Structural Design and Analysis
- Design and analyze aluminum and façade systems, including curtain walls, windows, doors, skylights, louvers, glazing, and cladding.
- Prepare calculations for aluminum profiles, mullions, transoms, steel reinforcements, brackets, anchors, and connections.
- Assess wind, dead, live, thermal movement, and project-specific loads.
- Verify deflection, stress, stability, and structural performance against codes and project specifications.
- Select suitable structural members, profiles, reinforcements, and fixing systems.
Engineering and Design Coordination
- Review architectural, structural, and façade drawings for design requirements and coordination issues.
- Coordinate with façade designers, BIM modelers, architects, and other engineering disciplines.
- Provide structural input during design development and shop drawing stages.
- Ensure designs are practical, safe, and suitable for factory fabrication and site installation.
