Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate structural BIM models using Autodesk Revit Structure based on drawings, specifications, and engineering requirements.
- Model structural elements including columns, beams, slabs, shear walls, foundations, retaining walls, cores, and stairs.
- Interpret structural drawings, specifications, sketches, and engineering documentation for BIM modeling.
- Maintain models according to BIM Execution Plans, modeling standards, LOD requirements, and client specifications.
- Coordinate structural models with architectural, MEP, and other discipline models.
- Participate in BIM coordination, clash detection, model audits, and quality checks.
- Generate structural plans, sections, elevations, schedules, details, and other BIM documentation.
- Incorporate design revisions and keep models and drawings updated throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain model organization, naming conventions, worksets, families, parameters, and shared coordinates.
- Identify discrepancies and communicate issues to the relevant engineering team.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum five years of relevant experience in structural BIM modeling.
- Strong experience in a structural engineering or multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
- Proven experience on high-rise building projects is essential.
- Strong hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit Structure.
- Good understanding of structural engineering principles and building construction methodologies.
- Experience modeling reinforced concrete and structural systems for complex buildings.
- Experience with multidisciplinary BIM coordination and clash resolution.
- UAE or GCC project experience is highly preferred.
