Position Summary
Lead development and execution of VEON's international wallet strategy in markets outside its operating countries.
Focus on diaspora customers sending money to their home markets.

Strategy and Market Development
- Define and execute wallet growth strategy across priority diaspora corridors.
- Develop business cases, market-entry plans, and go-to-market strategies, including sizing, investment requirements, and expected returns.
- Conduct ongoing market and competitor analysis to refine priorities and identify opportunities or threats.
Product and Proposition Development
- Design and launch international remittance wallet products with bill payments, card services, merchant payments, and other everyday use cases.
- Define product roadmaps and prioritize features based on customer needs, corridor economics, and competitive positioning.
- Work with product, design, and technology teams to create intuitive experiences for diaspora customers.
Partnerships and Licensing
- Build and manage relationships with banks, payment networks, remittance and fintech partners, and regulators.
- Lead partnership negotiations and structure commercial agreements supporting scalable and compliant international money movement.
- Coordinate licensing and regulatory approvals required for new markets.
Cross-Functional Execution
- Coordinate product, technology, compliance, licensing, treasury, risk, and commercial workstreams to deliver launches on time.
- Establish project plans, milestones, and governance frameworks across multiple corridors.
- Identify and resolve execution risks, dependencies, and roadblocks.
Performance and Improvement
- Monitor performance, customer adoption, transaction volumes, and unit economics for each market.
- Report performance to senior leadership and improve wallet propositions using data, customer feedback, and market learnings.
- Scale successful propositions into additional corridors and markets.
Education and Experience
- 10+ years of experience in fintech, payments, digital wallets, remittances, or financial services.
- Strong understanding of cross-border payments and diaspora customer segments.
- Experience launching and scaling digital financial products across multiple markets.
- Ability to manage complex cross-functional programs and stakeholder relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.

Successful launch of new international wallet propositions.
Growth in active wallet customers and remittance volumes.
Expansion of everyday payment use cases beyond remittance.
Delivery of strategic partnerships and sustainable business economics.
