Role overview

Planning and business operations

• Run annual and quarterly planning cycles, including objectives, agreement, and progress tracking.
• Build and track the business unit budget with central finance.
• Run headcount planning covering staffing levels, requirements, costs, and timing.
• Prepare evidence-based analysis for business reviews.

Engagement economics

• Build deployment economics covering the cost to win, deliver, and support engagements and the revenue earned.
• Calculate margin by client, project, and use case.
• Analyse delivery cost drivers such as deployment and engineering time, compute, inference, and ongoing support.
• Test pricing against delivery requirements and clearly flag discrepancies.

Strategy and decision support

• Research markets and competitors, size segments, and support decisions about target customers and sequencing.
• Run build, buy, and partner analysis when the business lacks a required capability.
• Turn complicated questions into clear recommendations for leadership.
• Prepare materials for group leadership and the board, lead cross-cutting projects, and maintain decision records.

Experience and capabilities

• 4+ years in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, corporate development, or an adjacent analytical role.
• Ability to build a model from scratch and present conclusions to senior stakeholders.
• Technology, professional services, or experience with government and enterprise businesses is advantageous.
• Experience understanding delivery cost and margin is advantageous.
• Curiosity about AI and the direction of the AI market.
