Role Overview

Lead end-to-end PCB and embedded-system hardware development projects from concept through production.

Coordinate cross-functional teams covering PCB layout, embedded firmware, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing partners.

Define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation while ensuring technical and business requirements are met.

  • Compensation is listed as $400K-$550K per year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute project plans for PCB and embedded-system designs aligned with business objectives and technical feasibility.
  • Lead collaboration among hardware engineers, firmware developers, and vendors to deliver prototypes within budget.
  • Manage PCB layout reviews, signal integrity analysis, and component selection for performance and manufacturability.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for project progress, risk mitigation, and quality assurance.
  • Present technical and business updates to stakeholders, including executive leadership, to secure approvals and resources.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 7 years of PCB design and embedded-systems development experience, including at least 3 years in project leadership or management.
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer, KiCad, or Cadence Allegro.
  • Embedded firmware development experience in C/C++ and debugging with JTAG or logic analyzers.
  • Knowledge of IPC-2221, IPC-A-610, and UL certification processes.
  • Understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal management in PCB layouts.
  • Experience with Git, Confluence, Jira, manufacturing processes, DFM, and supply chain coordination.
  • Ability to assess technical risks and balance cost, schedule, and performance trade-offs.
