Role Overview
- The Strategic Procurement Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and executing procurement strategy to support a multi‑store, omni‑channel retail business.
- Focus on cost optimization, supply continuity, supplier performance, and scalable growth, aligning procurement with merchandising, operations, and financial objectives.
Key Strategic Accountabilities
- Define and deliver category‑driven sourcing strategies across trading and non‑trading retail spend, supported by multi‑year roadmaps.
- Build and manage a high‑performing supplier base through structured SRM frameworks, performance governance, and risk mitigation.
- Lead complex negotiations and long‑term contracts to deliver sustainable cost savings, improved payment terms, and enhanced service levels.
- Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 to drive disciplined, controlled, and insight‑led procurement decisions.
- Deliver measurable procurement value through cost savings, cost avoidance, working‑capital optimization, and KPI‑driven performance reporting.
- Act as a strategic business partner to Retail Operations, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Store Leadership, while leading and developing a procurement team.
