Job Summary
The Assistant General Manager – Stores is responsible for construction project stores, warehouses, materials, equipment, and inventory.
The role ensures timely material availability at project sites, accurate inventory records, reduced losses and wastage, and compliance with company and project requirements.
Required Experience
- Strong experience in construction stores and warehouse management is required.
- Experience with materials for large-scale building, infrastructure, MEP, or industrial projects is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage stores and warehouse operations across construction projects.
- Develop inventory and material-control procedures.
- Receive, inspect, store, preserve, and issue construction materials.
- Monitor stock levels against project requirements.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Projects, Planning, QS/Commercial, Finance, and Site Teams.
- Review requisitions, purchase orders, delivery documents, and goods-received notes.
- Maintain records of receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and stock balances.
- Set minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels.
- Conduct physical stock counts and reconcile system discrepancies.
