Project Management Head Construction - Top Construction Company

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Lead construction project management from pre-construction through handover and develop execution strategies, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Manage project managers, construction managers, engineers, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Establish objectives, KPIs, milestones, governance, reporting, and performance monitoring for cost, schedule, quality, and delivery.
• Review project schedules, method statements, procurement plans, and construction programs.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, commercial, finance, HSE, legal, and operations teams.
• Manage contractors and consultants, identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and resolve critical issues.
• Oversee cost control, variations, claims, cash flow, forecasting, change management, and contractual compliance.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, standards, quality requirements, and HSE policies.
• Lead project reviews, stakeholder relationships, procurement, testing, commissioning, snagging, completion, documentation, and handover.
• Support business development, tendering, feasibility studies, budgeting, lessons learned, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• A master's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or Business Administration is an advantage.
• PMP, PRINCE2, RICS, or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
• Relevant professional engineering or construction certification where applicable.

Experience Requirements

• Typically 15–20+ years of experience in construction or project management.
• Significant experience managing large-scale or complex projects in a senior project management, project director, or head position.
• Strong experience managing multiple projects, multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and consultants.
• Experience with large commercial, residential, hospitality, infrastructure, industrial, or mixed-use developments is preferred.
• Demonstrated delivery within approved cost, schedule, quality, and safety parameters.
• Experience in contract administration, procurement, commercial management, claims, and dispute resolution.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strategic project and construction management, leadership, team management, budgeting, cost control, planning, and scheduling.
• Contract and commercial management, risk and change management, construction quality management, and HSE leadership.
• Stakeholder and client management, negotiation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and reporting.
• Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera P6, MS Office, and relevant construction or project management systems.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 20,000–25,000 per month.
