Responsibilities
- Receive and organize merchandise by department, indicating proper storage location and delivering to appropriate department
- Stack received merchandise on pallets or carts
- Fill requisition forms for stock and supplies
- Notify manager or supervisor of low stock levels in a timely manner
- Receive deliveries, store perishable items properly, and rotate stock
- Inspect deliveries and dates to verify freshness, cleanliness, solidity, and quality of all box lots
- Reject damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items
- Follow food safety guidelines and handling policies for all food related areas
- Organize, clean, and sanitize all refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains
- Remove empty pallets, cartons, and waste to appropriate storage areas

- Recibir y organizar la mercancía por departamento, indicar de manera adecuada la ubicación en las instalaciones y entregar la mercancía al departamento apropiado.
- Apilar la mercancía recibida en tarimas o carritos.
- Llenar los formularios de solicitud para las existencias y provisiones.
- Notificar al gerente o supervisor de manera oportuna los niveles bajos de existencias.
- Recibir entregas, almacenar los productos perecederos adecuadamente y rotar las existencias.
- Inspeccionar las entregas y las fechas para verificar la frescura, limpieza, solidez y calidad de todos los lotes de cajas.
- Rechazar los artículos dañados, inaceptables o incorrectos.
- Seguir las pautas de seguridad alimentaria y las políticas y los procedimientos de manejo para todas las áreas relacionadas con los alimentos.
- Organizar, limpiar y desinfectar todos los refrigeradores, congeladores, pisos, equipo para los alimentos y desagües.
- Retirar las tarimas vacías, los cartones y residuos y colocarlos en las áreas de almacenamiento adecuadas.
- Informar al gerente los accidentes, las lesiones y las condiciones laborales inseguras; realizar capacitaciones y obtener certificaciones de seguridad.
- Cumplir con todas las políticas y los procedimientos de la compañía, asegurarse de que el uniforme y la apariencia personal sean pulcras y profesionales, mantener la confidencialidad de la información patentada y proteger los bienes de la compañía.
