Job Summary
The Storekeeper is responsible for managing the storage, issuance, and recording of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
The role ensures proper inventory control, timely availability of materials, and accurate documentation to support construction operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and equipment
- Maintain proper storage and labeling of construction materials
- Issue materials to site teams as per approved requests
- Track inventory levels and maintain stock records
- Conduct regular stock checks and physical inventory audits
- Ensure proper documentation of all inward and outward materials
- Coordinate with procurement and site teams for material requirements
- Monitor material usage and report shortages or damages
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store/warehouse
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and storage guidelines
- Prepare inventory and stock movement reports
- Handle returns, surplus materials, and defective items
