Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer with valid TRAKHEES approval to ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations and TRAKHEES EHS requirements across construction/project sites.
The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety procedures, conducting inspections, risk assessments, and promoting a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with TRAKHEES EHS regulations, UAE labor laws, and company HSE policies.
- Conduct daily site inspections and safety audits.
- Identify workplace hazards and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Prepare and maintain risk assessments, method statements, and safety reports.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE training for workers and staff.
- Monitor work activities to ensure safe work practices are followed.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and submit reports with recommendations.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by all employees and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with TRAKHEES inspectors and other regulatory authorities during inspections.
- Maintain records of permits, inspections, incidents, training, and certifications.
- Monitor emergency preparedness including fire safety and evacuation procedures.
- Promote a strong safety culture at the workplace.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Valid TRAKHEES Safety Officer Approval/Certification is mandatory.
- NEBOSH IGC certification preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and TRAKHEES standards.
- Familiarity with risk assessment, incident investigation, and permit-to-work systems.
- Good communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple site activities.
