Role Purpose
Provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge of hotel stores, purchasing, receiving, storage, inventory control, and materials management.
Prepare students for work in hotel stores and hospitality organizations.
Teaching and Training
- Conduct theory and practical classes related to hotel stores and inventory management.
- Prepare lesson plans, presentations, demonstrations, and practical exercises.
- Teach purchasing, procurement, receiving, storage, inventory control, stock taking, and material management procedures.
Practical Training
- Conduct practical sessions in the college Store and Inventory Training Lab.
- Demonstrate receiving, checking, counting, recording, labeling, and safe storage of materials.
- Train students to prepare purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods received notes, issue records, stock registers, and bin cards.
- Conduct mock stock-taking and inventory-control exercises.
Student Development and Assessment
- Develop students' knowledge of professional hotel store procedures and documentation.
