Position Overview
Provide theoretical and practical training in housekeeping operations for students pursuing careers in hotels and hospitality.
Develop students’ technical knowledge, professional standards, grooming, and industry-ready skills.
Teaching and Practical Training
- Conduct theory classes and prepare lesson plans, presentations, demonstrations, and practical activities.
- Teach cleaning, guest-room servicing, public-area cleaning, bed making, linen, laundry, equipment, chemicals, inventory, hygiene, safety, and coordination topics.
- Conduct practical sessions in the housekeeping training lab and guest-room setup area.
- Demonstrate bed making, room cleaning and inspection, equipment and chemical handling, bathroom cleaning, and public-area cleaning.
- Conduct exercises on linen handling, laundry, inventory management, role plays, and hotel-based simulations.
Student Development and Assessment
- Develop students’ grooming, hygiene, communication, teamwork, discipline, and professional skills.
- Prepare students for industrial training, internships, and hotel placements, and mentor them on housekeeping careers.
- Monitor practical performance and provide feedback.
- Conduct written tests, practical examinations, assignments, demonstrations, and viva assessments.
