- Ensure world class standards in visual merchandising, store presentation, and atmosphere
- Develop and nurture client relationships, building loyalty with international visitors and the UAE community
- Manage inventory and stock flow, ensuring bestsellers are available and aging stock is managed
- Provide ongoing feedback to senior management and buying teams on product performance and trends
- Champion upselling, cross selling, and experiential retailing to maximize sales and guest engagement
- Lead, motivate, and inspire a diverse team to deliver the Hamleys DNA of fun, theatre, and excellence
- Deliver ongoing coaching, training, and performance management to upskill and retain top talent
- Drive sales performance and deliver against set KPIs and budget objectives
- Maintain tight control of store P&L, costs, and cash management
- Uphold Hamleys' standards for service, safety, and compliance
- Provide accurate reporting on sales performance, customer insights, and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing a high profile, high performing retail store (luxury, premium, or experiential retail preferred)
- Strong leadership and people management skills with a proven record of building and motivating winning teams
- Commercially astute with strong reporting and analytical ability
- Highly presentable, polished, and confident in engaging with an international clientele
- Strong interpersonal skills, resilience, and the ability to thrive under pressure
