Company Description
SLS Dubai Hotel and Residences is a luxury lifestyle five-star city hotel under Ennismore and the wider Accor group.
The property includes hotel rooms, hotel apartments, and branded residences across 75 floors in Dubai.
Role Overview
The Stewarding Supervisor oversees hygiene, sanitation, equipment, supplies, cleaning schedules, and stewarding personnel in hotel food and beverage areas.
Operational Responsibilities
- Keep working areas and equipment hygienically clean, orderly, and properly supplied.
- Conduct monthly inventories and control equipment breakage and losses.
- Requisition cleaning materials and supplies while minimizing waste and misuse.
- Schedule daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning of food production outlets and equipment.
- Monitor chemical consumption in machines and wash-up areas.
- Control equipment released to banquet operations and outside catering.
- Oversee dishwashing machine maintenance and coordinate equipment inspections with Engineering.
People and Compliance Responsibilities
- Ensure hygiene and sanitation standards, including staff cafeteria standards, are maintained.
- Evaluate stewarding personnel performance and facilitate appropriate training.
- Administer personnel requisitions, promotions, disciplinary actions, training, rosters, and overtime requests.
- Participate in food hygiene meetings and safe catering programs.
- Communicate with guests, superiors, business partners, and staff, and support community activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Two to five years of management experience in an accredited restaurant or hotel is required.
- One to two years in a public-contact position is preferred, ideally in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills are required.
- Applicants should be able to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain attention to detail.
- Applicants should work independently and maintain productive relationships that support teamwork.
