Role Overview
The Steward maintains kitchenware, kitchen equipment, production areas, hallways, and related service spaces in a hotel environment.
Cleaning and Sanitation
- Clean and sanitize china, glassware, silver, pots, pans, kitchen utensils, ovens, steam kettles, mixers, drains, sinks, floors, and walls.
- Clean, dust, sweep, mop, polish, scrub, wash, strip, and buff kitchen and pastry shop production areas and hallways.
Silver and Equipment Handling
- Operate the dishwashing machine and store cleaned dishware and flatware properly.
- Set up, clean, and safely operate the silver burnishing machine on a daily or weekly schedule.
- Sort and transport silver and place damaged or excessively worn pieces in the designated repair area.
Safety and Conduct
- Safely use and store cleaning compounds, chemicals, soaking solutions, and related materials with the correct protective clothing.
- Follow Four Seasons Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
